The journey
Marcela Palau is a strategic human resources advisor and executive coach with more than 17 years of international experience across multilateral institutions, consulting, education, and founder-led or growth-stage organizations in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Caucasus.
She helps people, managers, HR teams and leadership work together across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding, goal setting and performance to engagement, development, manager enablement, offboarding and organizational change. Her work combines strategic HR, organizational development, culture change, talent management, facilitation, executive coaching, learning design and change adoption.
Marcela has led and supported large-scale people initiatives in complex, multicultural environments, including work on culture change, performance management, talent management, behavioral science, employee experience, leadership development and organizational change at the Asian Development Bank. She designs tools, frameworks, workshops and implementation approaches that turn HR concepts into practical behaviors and repeatable routines.
As Chief People and Product Officer for Unframed, Marcela helps organizations implement the platform as a working people management system. She helps clients clarify HR and manager responsibilities, strengthen onboarding and offboarding journeys, improve goal setting and performance practices, build employee voice into their routines, and use people data for better leadership decisions.
She connects HR technology with how organizations and people actually behave, so HR teams, managers, employees and leadership adopt the platform and keep using it.
